I agree, I bought one once.....ended up chucking it in the bin and never bothered with it since.

I've just read two in about five hours:

Gods Callgirl, Carla Van Raay
A Child Called It, Dave Peltzer

I wasn't too impressed with the latter if I'm being honest

i've read all Dave Pelzers books, read them all quite a few years ago and i liked them, as i did reading his borthers books too (Richard Pelzer) his borthers books carry on from when Dave was removed from the house, Richard got all the stick that his older brother got



J....'chick lit' are trashy girlie novels, absolute crap if you ask me

If you like historical novels, try those of Elizabeth Chadwick. They take you straight back to the time of the Norman Conquest and the immediately following years. I've read most of them and they are enthralling.

That sounds good Pashley, I haven't read any of those. I'll have a look on the site that everybody has been talking about and see if there are any there. I love to get lost in a good historical novel!

Bill Bryson....A walk In The Woods.Another of Brysons travel books.Very funny,just like the rest.Recommended if you like a good laugh.
