Have you tried pulling it flashytart? Awkward I know but when the going gets tough it is always easier to pull than to push. That’s why front wheel drive cars fare better than rear wheel drive cars in rough terrain. Stuck in the snow. Try reversing out instead of trying to drive forward unless your car is front wheel drive.

Which reminds me: a small boy was walking along the road pulling a short length of rope behind him.
The local smart Alec says to him, “Lost your dog?”
“No!”
“Well why are you pulling that rope?”
“Have you tried pushing it?”:Banane30:

Good answer Tinkerbelle.

If it snows overnight I will know the minute that I wake up without looking outside.

There has been more false alarms about the week of snow than Tony Blair quitting his job and PB becomming a truered blooded socialist.

Woo hoo!!:Banane22: . Not to cause any envy for you snow lovers but we got 3 - 4 inches overnight. Annie, Joshua and I will get the sled, tubes and boards out and go sledding in the pasture.

Couple of questions. Why do you guys refer to it as sledging. Di you call the double railed item a sledge then?

I noted flashy talking about her pramming. Do you call both a "stroller" (kid carrier)" as well as a "shopping cart" a pram?

Thanks Accywebbers for your continued help with my introduction to the Queen's English!

Brian

I just started a new thread with these questions so this thread stays on thread!

Re: hey up snows coming!!

Although it was already dark, just had to try out our hill. Too dark for the sled so I figure I'd try one of the kid's boogie type board. For some insane reason, sprayed the bottom with WD-40 (a light oil spray).

As I headed down the hill, instantly turn backwards on me. Then proceeded to head off track and into a rock pile. Had to admit it was a pretty fair wipeout. Had better luck the next couple of runs!

Next time Brian try some Duck Oil, or Goose Grease on your 'Boogie Board' to ensure a good take off, and maybe give the rock pile a 'break':D. "Happy sledging", regards Ian.
