It snowed quite heavy about 2:45pm for 10 minutes......soon as kids came out of school it stopped:o BLESS!!!

so much for all this snow we were getting!! Haha all those mad panicking gritters.... and for what?? a bit of Dandruff??

I have seen more flakes on Tinks black boots :D:D

^^^ a snow machine is the only way we will see any snow on the ground....:rolleyes:

Well, I for one was not disappointed (apologies to all young people out there)

After 2 weeks of a flat tyre, brake and headlight bulbs 'popping their clogs' (hey, that's a good one for LancsYorky) this morning, got in car with boots, car died altogether, 'course battery.

AA man at door 40 mins. later (mmmmmm... yes, very, very 'nice' man).

Got me going, but advised me battery was knackered. Took to garage near work, had to walk small distance, left gloves in car, couldn't even press buttons on security door, hands that cold. Had to say Hallelujah was not snowing.

Two centimeters of snow and over 2,000 schools closed. Tomorrow as well, even though it's turned to slush!

The bloody lazy teachers, extending their half term holiday more like. Never mind the millions of pounds it will have cost the country, because of time off the children's parents had to unexpectedly take off.

No wonder kids today are soft. They should have put their wellies on and headed off into the blizzards, pretending to be Scott of the Antartic, like I used to.

We have reared wimps. The teachers dont want them having snowball fights because of the paperwork involved if there is an accident.

I think my school was closed only twice when i went there and that was because there was no heating!

It was only the headline news because they had a light dusting of the white stuff in London. Whoopie doo.
