idiot drunken teens, 1.20am and no police !!
 

at 1.20 am this morning we (along with the whole street!) were awoken by what must have been about 35 drunken teens fighting at the top of our street - and the majority of them were girls, it was a real battle with screaming, shouting, swearing, tears the whole lot and drunken boys also trying to get in on the act too, after about 10 mins they were not giving up so I went to call the police and gave the accy station a ring as by this point it was a full scale fight, the reply I got was 'sorry there is no one here to take your call right now':mad: :mad: ...what a joke, tried 3 times and no answer, so went back to bed and had to wait until the idiotic, thick children gave up and went home - the clueless wasters finally wandered off at 1.45 am...
I hope there parents are soooo proud of them bringing them up like that and I hope the wasters are all sick due to being drunk and in pain after their fighting last night..:mad: :mad: :mad:

I thought Accy police station closed at 8pm and you had to ring the one at whiteburk(Greenbank) ?:confused:

I know how you felt though we get them in our street sometimes shouting throwing bottles,there was one time they where fighting and one lad was out cold on the ground,the police did come you could here the sirens in the distance by the time they got there everyone had gone.
the guy on the ground had been picked up and taken to a house down the street somewhere so there was nothing the police could do this was at 2-30am as well

you should have rung 999 it gets um there quicker ......not many police on in accy at night ...................what a ruddy pain to be awakened at that time in a morning they need locking up & treating as criminals for the night & fined ..then see how the parents react to being woken up at an unearthly hour to be told your son/daughter is in the cells ..pick them up at 7-30pm when they will be charged in front of you.

I had no idea is closed at that time:confused: and had no idea to call the one at whiteburk

and I didnt want to call 999 as I didnt know whether to class it as a 999 case or whether the presence of a car and 2 policemen would have broekn it up/moved them all away..

Exactly Cashy its now part of your council tax, I think the least they could do would be transfer the call automatically to the open police station.

I would still report it today, and get a log number for it - that way if it becomes a problem again next week they won't just class it as a 'one off'.

I would have called 999 and told them it looked like some youths were being beaten up by a gang.

Been told by mate in Police that if you log it they can then try to put patrol in area if more troubles in next few weeks/months

:( you know, i never knew that about the accy police station being shut at night!!!, they should be on call 24/7, and its no good coming from blackburn either, bloody stupid, as someone as already said what the hell is my council tax going on??:mad:

but i sometimes think, what if the station was open, would they have come quick???

Can't understand why they put the sirens on late at night when going to any trouble. Obviously the ones that are doing the fighting will scarper as soon as they hear the police approaching. Or is that what the police want them to do.

it's a safety thing , gives a bit more warning to other motorists when approaching red lights , think its the law that you have to slow down and pullover if you see flashing lights or hear sirens , supposed to enable emergency services reach the incident site faster :) :)
