I wonder what you would have thought of those old "I'm backing Britain" badges?

We've got an England flag, and a Union Jack. We've also got an Irish flag (I'm of Irish descent) and a Welsh flag (Busman has Welsh origins) and a US flag which was given to me by a Native American now deceased and a Tunisian flag because we love Tunisia - wonder what that makes us?
:D

Just making a point about the manner in which the principle symbol of 'Britishness' has been hijacked by the far right.

OK fair enough but still decidedly odd to assume that AccyWeb meets take place in a BNP pub. I don't even know if there is such a thing in our "and district" - anybody else know if there is one?

When I say you might be a Troll, I have a sneaking suspicion that you might just be trying to deliberately wind people up.

However, giving you the benefit of the doubt, the Union Flag is the national flag of this country, so why shouldn't people display it in pubs? If you went into a pub festooned with the Irish tri-colour, would you think it was an IRA pub?

I'd think it was probably St. Patrick's day!

This reminds me of times when I wore my black beret - was greeted with a smile and an IRA salute more than once :D
It is so easy to be misconstrued.

He probably got it from the Orson Wells film Citizen Kane.

Talk about stereotyping!

One of the pubs the meet was held at, twice, had a prominent display of football memorabilia. That must mean that pub is somewhere frequented by football hooligans.

Then there was that pub with the card of nuts behind the bar, showing a busty babe in a bikini.

Why we didn't spot it at the time I'll never know.

It was a swingers club!!!
