Hope your garden flourishes, you have put a lot of hard work in.

Well done, the bluebells look great. Do they have a good scent? Unfortunately the Spanish ones don't. I am still always digging them out but I'll never entirely get rid of them so I'm compromising and encouraging the white ones and the pink ones which are very attractive. I do love English bluebells though.

I just gave him general directions on what to do but not how to do it. My major contribution was ensuring the regular supply of brews when and as needed. Oh! Yes! I scattered the anti-slug pellets and once there was signs of life the plant food pellets. Now if only I can get that pesky squirrel to sit still for a few seconds and smile at the camera but he’s so edgy and quick that so far I have loads of shots of where he has been. Although I do have a blurry tail just on the edge as he scarpered along the back fence. But I’ll get a decent snap one of these days. |

The foxgloves, tall and straight and now in full bloom, are attracting bees by the dozen. In fact it can get so busy at times that I am seriously considering setting up a “Traffic Control Tower” to make sure that they don’t crash into each other.
Maybe I could charge them landing rights? |

An update on my garden.
The Foxgloves are now coming to the end of their display yet still the bees swoop down in squadrons, although I believe that the correct collective noun for bees is “grist”. A squadron of bees. A grist of bees. Squadron sounds much better. The last few weeks have been rather wet and not so warm but none-the-less the poppy seeds germinated and produced a proliferation of foliage and hundreds of buds interspersed with meadow flowers. The last few warmer days encouraged the buds to open and show bright red flowers. Not too many for now but there are squillions of buds ready to colour my garden red. |

It looks great.:)
Are you going to leave it at the end of the summer, or get someone to scythe it down, like they do in wildflower meadows? |
Re: How Does Your Garden Grow?
It looks like you have a real wildlife haven there, Jambutty. Are you getting many butterflies? I ask because I have hardly seen any this year, not even now the buddleia (butterfly bush) has come into flower.

Re: How Does Your Garden Grow?
we have loads of butterflies up here, my cat likes them.

I usually get peacock butterflies, red admirals and loads of tortoiseshells in my garden but not this year. It's a bit worrying. Our cat likes the odd butterfly/moth. If she catches one (rarely as she's old and can't be ar$ed to jump after things that fly) she walks round with the wings sticking out of her mouth like a bow tie. :D |
