BNP members have told BBC News they have received threatening and abusive phone calls and e-mails after a leaked document was published online.

The membership list includes police officers, who are banned from BNP membership, teachers and soldiers.

It includes names, addresses, telephone numbers and jobs of 12,000 people.

It has been removed from the blog it was published on after protests by BNP leaders but members say they are still receiving threatening messages.
after years of harassing non-whites - for once the boot is on the other foot.

I think that you are missing the point with this issue.

The real issue is should the names, addresses, phone numbers and jobs of members of an organisation be published as a membership list on someone’s blog?

Whether it is the BNP or Tory party or any other political party it is still wrong.

A person’s political affiliation is private until that person chooses to reveal it to the world.

Hyndburn in general is the most racist place I have come accross.. quite a shock when i moved here.. however the good things about the area far outnumber the backward racist attitudes of a LOT of people..

I've got a copy... pretty easy to find really

Inevitably, the BNP members' list is on a mashup. Just beware of taking it seriously | Technology | guardian.co.uk

First link in that article takes you to an interesting BNP "heat map" and some relevant documents on the page.

Re: I find this totally hilarious...

what do you think should happen to the police officers on the list? surely a disciplinary at least?

KP - if i'm honest i've been to more racist places. but yeah there's alot of racism in and about - if not overt, its still there.

Re: I find this totally hilarious...

i think they should be fired... they are not alowed to be in the bnp because of race relations.

I think a law was passed in 2004 that made it illegal for police officers to join the BNP. How the legal situation around them using leaked evidence of supposedly secret political party membership works though, I don't know.
