well to put it bluntly i would much rather wake up finding teh woman i was with had done a runner than wake up and find my self been accused of rape

US MEN may be soooooo egotisticle as you put it but what we dont do is dial 999 after regreting sex with somone and scream rape .

i merely pointed out in jest the mans way of dealing with regreted sex which is avoidance of the person they had sex with where as plenty of women for some reason scream rape which i might add only notifys almost everyone they know that they slept with that person and makes them look a damn sight worse when they are caught out lying

personaly i think buggering off beofore the woman wakes up is a lot less damaging than screaming rape for no reason and destroying some poor sods life

I know your remark was in jest Accyman, and so was my response, however, you did digress from the thread content slightly here, and the fact that you call some women 'mingers' is a harsh way to negate your regret of someone you did not wish to have a repeat performance with. Most of us women who regret would not call 999 by the way, we would merely keep our lips buttoned or posssibly just admit to a close friend that we had made a terrible mistake, without the insults.

Please do not even suggest that I am agreeing with the woman in this case .. I do not, for all the constructive points everyone has contributed here.

lol women are just as bad as men when describing regretable partners and can be just as vulgar towards their opposite sex as men can to theirs, the content of womens chatter in the ladies loos is probably even worse lol

perhaps how a woman describes a regretable partner is the difference between been a lady or been a slapper lol

im assuming you are a lady :D

Wouldn't quite say that, but guess times may have changed slightly, and maybe young girls these days do speak in derogatory terms of their liaisons.

Would really like to understand what you define as a slapper though ? :D

When we were young kate, I know its a long time ago:D ladies didn't kiss and tell, in other words like some women now do, have an affair then sell the story to the highest bidder. They go out to trap a footballer (who's brains move just a little higher than their feet after a few sniffs of the barmaids (sorry barperson) apron), then dash to the Red Tops to cash in, their sex lives seem to be an open book available to the highest bidder.

Well the bloke has been found not guilty but what about the damage to his reputation? Out of order naming men until after the trial:mad:

In her final comments prosecutor Kerry Malin claimed Mr Bacon "took advantage of a drunk woman in bed with her clothes on".

She said: "He turned up and could see a woman in drink and it was too good an opportunity to miss."

Judith Khan, defending, said that there was no evidence that the woman had or had not given consent and drunken consent was still consent.

She addressed the jury, saying: "How on earth can you be sure of guilt on the account of someone who cannot help one way or the other?"

Mr Bacon was cleared by the jury of four men and seven women after they deliberated for 45 minutes. "
So we've forked out tens of thousands of pounds to solicitors and barristers and we knew he would be found "Not Guilty" and it only took the jury a few minutes for them all to decide. How many more of these pointless cases are waiting? Why hasn't somebody at the CPS got the xxxxx to say "This isn't going anywhere"

It only took 10 minutes really the other 35 they were having a brew to make it look better. I can't, for the life in me, understand why the CPS allowed this case anyway near a court room, how could there be even the smallest chance of a conviction when the accuser didn't know what date it was, never mind that she was forced to have sex. The fact that she woke up with this guy still in bed next to her spoke volumes, if he had raped her he'd have been away long before she came round from her drunken stupor. The only losers in all this is are the tax payer and the poor sod who's had is name dragged through the mud for no good reason, just to placate the conscience of some drunk woman who can't control her obviously out of control drinking problem. The sooner the law is change, to withhold the name of a suspect until he's found guilty, the better, after all its still the law of the land that your innocent until proved guilty, but not for men in rape cases, it stinks and does nothing to help genuine rape victims
