I can name two people of white origin at least ...both accywebbers one who volunteered in the accrington & districts within the borough of hyndburn for £0 and it actually cost that person every week to get there and for other items as well regarding that volunteering post ... and another one ... and i would say a lot of people on here would probably come up with a lot more ..

Are you really so thick or do you forget what people have written, after an adult has read their posts out to you? I said...I DON'T HONESTLY KNOW...is that clear enough for you, or does it only count if I repeat your original question, but rearrange the words?

However, I see you still haven't answered my question...why do you think Accringtonians have a problem with Ilyas Khan taking over Stanley? I suppose that question IS too hard for you. :rolleyes:

I am of ethnic origin, I have done voluntary work as a trustee for the last 7-8 years without a penny in remunerations, I am also a school governor, I do not get paid for that and there are many from an ethnic background that do similar work. There are also many white indigenous people doing excellent voluntary work. There are also many on this web board that do the same but do not like to sing and shout about it.

Before you start I love this country and have also served queen and country I did 9 years in the British Army. I made a lot of friends from all walks of life, black and white whilst serving and still have contact with many. I have seen colleagues and friends shot and blown up but at no time did I see their colour or ethnic background nor them mine, we were all in it together as one. Furthermore I have never been out of work and have never claimed benefits and I am now over 50.

I am a great believer in treating people as individuals and not as groups. As I see it there are some good people among the ethnics within Hyndburn and some not so good but you get that in all communities.

I am sure where you are in Ireland it is the same to some extent.

I'm white and I do my bit for the community - some of it I get paid for and some of it I don't. BUT, the stuff I do is mostly in Oswaldtwistle which happens to be a mostly 'white' area. My point being, that anyone who does this kind of stuff tends to do it for the neighbourhood around them and neighbours tend to have similarities.

I could not agree with you more Shillelagh. It is good to see somebody praising the non ethnics of the community who contribute to the good of the whole community without financial gain or favour to themselves. Some people on this site are so afraid to say anything negative even when justified regarding ethnic issues, due to their perception of appearing politically correct to others on this forum, that they appear to find it difficult to be positive towards non ethnic past and present community contributions. :alright:

The people you are accusing of being P.C. are well known for calling a spade, (of any ethnic background), a spade, if someone in our community deserves calling they will be called, but to have a dumb S.O.B. ex-Pat' moaner like you calling our ethnics is an insult to us all not just them. We, (as in all of this area), have found a way with getting along with our neighbours, we don't need you telling us how, why, or when we should re-act any differently to each other than we are doing now.

Next time your tempted to the area on some morbidly sentimental trip, just remember, you left, you came back you saw nothing you liked so....

Thanks for answering with honesty that you do not know of any local lads or females of Asian origin who have contributed to the whole of the community without financial gain.
