I am under the impression that religious buildings need 'consecration' before they are 'holy'.
Do muslims do that?
If 'yes' - they needn't take offence because it is a cardboard mock up and nothing more, so playing soldiers in it is not desicration.

Course they wouldn't, they've turned enough beautiful churches into mosques.......well that in itself offends me :mad:

exactly! at least we dont knock thier mosques down for our churches but sometimes i wonder if this would be a good idea............................they may think abit more before they speak!!!:mad:

Someone who claims to speak for many, even though he wasn't elected to that position, claims offence, and for fear of being labelled racist, apologies are hastily issued, and the offensive 'mosques' are dismantled.

Strangely there were no cries of outraged protest from Italy, where the domed roof was first mastered by the Romans, many centuries before the birth of Muhammad and the founding of Islam, or even any protest from Israel, again where generic domed roofs are a common sight.

Interesting concept - how exactly are we going to fill these churches, considering that there don't seem to be enough Christians in this country to fill the ones we've got (which is why the muslims are turning them into mosques). :rolleyes:

It always makes me smile when we hear these Muslim extremist trying to justify their actions, when they say they are taking retribution for the USA and GB killing their Muslim brothers and sisters, when in fact Muslims are killing Muslims every day day of the week

if we hadnt knocked/closed these churches over the years maybe more people would still be interested in going to church as they have been brought up :rolleyes:

Why do you think they were closed in the first place? Because not enough people were attending them. Still plenty of churches left, but I don't see 'em queueing up to get in.

Quite right Wyn, when I was at school, we had a mass register taken every Monday morning, and Every Sunday there were 4 masses 8am, 9am, 10am and 11am and nearly every one was, now here are just two one on Saturday Evening and 10am Sunday and we've lost one of the biggest churches in Hyndburn when Sacred Heart closed, sign of the times
