Whoever wins the election will make no difference in this direction, because unfortunately its gone to far one and in a lot of cases entrenched in legislation, in any case it wouldn't be a question of whats right for the country, the race card would be flying out from the pages of the Guardian and Independent:rolleyes:

did you know that the race card was origionaly white as it was the only colour they found they could use without someone moaning their skin colour been used until somone asked why it wasnt black ,yellow,brown or red so the race card scheme was abandoned as it was discovered that no matter what colour was used somone would have some problem or other with it.

green was considered for a short while along with many other colours but as of yet no one can say for definate what colour an aliens skin will be should they ever visit and dare not risk a racial incident upon first contact :D

Turkey, which is a predominantly Muslim faith country, is a secular society, that bans the wearing of headscarves in public schools, and all public buildings.

i dont see why they shoudlnt be banned as they have absolutely nothing to do with their faith its simply to show respect to their husbands so unless the husbands are going to start wearing them i assume it means they have no respect for their wives.

unless of course somone has an english translation from the quaran handy saying women shoudl cover their faces that is.

alas this topic has been talked about many times here and elswhere and as of yet we have yet to have any government to show any backbone at all and at least ban them in public especially when driving a car

ahh but the problem is as soon as you introduce anything vaguley along those lines the other partys brand you racist scum and teh press jumps on board and yur party is screwed

im not supporting ukip or teh bnp but the main partys conservitive and labour could do with borrwing at least some of tehir policies.

Aye, I know what UKIP's policy is...but what have Jones and Buckley to say? The simple answer is nowt - they are too afraid of losing the Muslim vote. Quite a contrast to our French & Belgian neighbours, whose politicians have reached cross-party concensus on banning the burka in public.

Still, I don't have a vote in Hyndburn; mine is in LBTH and at the moment it's war down here. Jihad George (Galloway) has mobilised his mob and they are out intimidating every poor sod on the streets. I won't bother with the stories - this site, afterall, is all about Accy. But just hope that what is now happening down here will never happen there.
