Laws already in place are now being used in Italy, don't we also have anti terrorist laws along the same lines in UK ?

The main points of interest I think are the following sentences :

Under Italian anti-terrorist laws introduced in the 1970s to fight political activists, it is illegal to be seen in a public place with your face covered.

Mr Giordano said: “I signed the new regulations for reasons of security, but also so that people who came to live in our city are aware and respect our traditions.

The regulations in Novara specifically cover people wearing clothing that prevents them from being identified in a public place and a post office is a public place.

“This would also apply to a motorcyclist who walked into a post office wearing a crash helmet. The people of Novara do not want to see people walking around in the city wearing a burkha.


If it can happen in Italy why not here ?

So long as morons like this are allowed free rein in UK, people are going to have a downer on Muslims. It's very difficult for the average bloke on the street to separate the good from the bad (Muslims) & when their own kind wont clamp down on these cretins !! The British public will continue to cry foul & the Muslim will always feel Insulted by our attitude, but whose fault is it ?

That i putting it mildly. A they said in the article his private and profensional life are separate. It seems that the control freaks are on the loose again. The country has realisexd that push and state hound the populace and you get unrest so are modern and progresive in some ways.
