Maybe I misheard and it was Accrington Lyres Weekly.

That would make more sense, seeing as how we all seem to be dancing to the same tune.

If he came on here he could give us his version of the truth...because as we all know there are three versions of truth.....your version, my version and the one that is a mixture of both(not always in equal parts though) which is somewhere nearer to what the truth actually is.

But as you observe Less, he would need cojones to do that and I don't think he has them......well maybe anatomically he has, but metaphorically he is bereft.

What lies?

Did they specify any?

Phew.

Then I won't bother choosing a suit to wear in court.

(Purely as a witness, in my role as Accy Web archivist.)

:D

Someone's welcome to come on here...and prove he is a real wit, once and for all.

(Damn, musw get keyboard fixed.)

Nothing specific, no.

However, naming this website Accrington Liars' Weekly implies that the things posted on here are lies, including Cllr Britcliffe's own musings.

How do you file a slander case against yourself?

Well it won't matter, because he hasn't mused very much since he joined.
I'm sure Garinda will correct me if I am wrong ....two posts was it!?
Can't really call that enthusiasm. Maybe it is because he didn't really want to be one of us...he just wanted to be the one.

Don't worry.

It can't refer to thee, or me.

We're on here daily, not weekly.

When was the last time that Yorkshire M.P.'s 'special' young assistant posted?

There were actually three.

One was magically made to disappear.

An act of political solidarity.

Marg, you're conjuring up some interesting images there. Let us take a peek at what a forum with just one person might look like:

Thanks, I thought so too.

It wouldn't make terribly interesting reading, but perhaps it would be less harrowing than my disgraceful efforts.

Rubbish.

One of those posts should be written in the third person, as if it was proclaimed to some lowly scribe, and then posted by them, for us all to read.

;)

Re: Accrington Liars' Weekly

No...it would not be interesting, but what I meant was he didn't seem to want to be part of the forum because, if it isn't all about him then he takes his ball(football, I hasten to add, not gonad) and goes home...won't play out with the rest of us.

I just wish that the elected council would just get on with the job in hand.

There is no need to play to the gallery or preach to the converted, just do the task that you were elected to do.

If rules are being broken do what is needed to rectify the situation if you are unable for one reason or another(I suspect the other) then resign your post and let a more capable person(can't be that hard to find) take over the responsibility:mad:

Sorry, I'll go and get on with my homework.

I merely thought a few badly-chosen words this morning might make for an interesting thread, and so it has.

Heaven forbid that any councillor might have a sense of humour as well as one of duty.
