Never a good idea, popcorn chicken, especially with extra dips.

I'll admit to a liking for their popcorn chicken and crispy strips but every time we've had KFC we've been disappointed overall, vowing each time never to go back until the next year's bout of anmesia leads us to think it might be nice for a change. Nothing will ever beat roast chicken with a bottle of wine at home with my wife.

For those that either don't or have got out of the habit, give Sunday roast a go.

Not sure, although Jeeves might. We're undergoing renovations here at Rishton Towers so all meals are being served in the parlour at the moment and it's a little cramped as it is.

Ring the bell at the main door and come-a-wassailing, I'll send out some sandwiches and a dram.

Perhaps that's the real reason they give you free wet wipes.

It's not to clean your fingers.

:eek::D:p

The main hall will be finished by mid-December, we're just having the chimneys swept and the paintings re-hung.

There'll be logs burning in the grand hearth to welcome (most) guests.

;)

Most?

I hope you won't discriminate against any of your colleagues.

I can just picture the Council Leader, laid on a chaise longue, enjoying your seasonal nibbles.

It's highly unlikely that he'd be present without an accompanying article in The Accrington Observer and it'll be a strictly off-duty affair so my plum pudding seems safe.

Back on thread, that's something that the fast food chains never seem to have latched onto isn't it? Greggs do turkey and stuffing pies but I can't remember seeing any Christmassy items advertised at McDonalds or KFC.

The smallest. Children like chimneys anyway, once he was inside he soon stopped complaining.

Mind you, it's been 4 days now. I suppose I'd better get Jeeves to go and check if he's finished, the gruel is going cold.

Isn't that what happens every lunchtime at Scaitcliffe House, judging by the cost of lunches provided by the prospective councillor for Baxenden? (Allegedly)
