Beats me. Seems a little strange, though, considering our first PM, Sir John Eh Macdonald, was a legendary drunk. When responding to being heckled for his drinking, John Eh responded: "Yes, but the people prefer John A drunk to George Brown sober." So, seems that we went off track somewhere:confused:

which is going to have no effect on this country what so ever, according the a professor of business who was interviewed on Breakfast TV. I'm sure it will be the end of the word as we know it in the Guardian. We now have a situation started By Labour being tackled by the coalition, under less favourable terms than Labour ever had. only two countries in the G7 nations still have AAA rating Canada and Germany so we are in good company. Lets face it though we could have had Ed Balls as chancellor, now that's a fate to worry about

ha ha still blaming labour is wearing a bit thin now.we were out of recession,we had growth at the time of the election.7 billion wasted on a work programme that doesnt work.billions on quantitative easing when it was too late. he hasnt a clue what he is doing. labour were borrowing less up until the big crash and were bringing it down. thats a fact.

So why have the government gone to great lengths, forcing ever increasing austerity measures mainly on the sick and disabled, to maintain this triple A rating?

you wouldn't know a fact if it jumped up and bit you on the arse, which shows up when you mention quantitative have another think about that one, and lets not forget Brown was still blaming the previous government right up to being kicked out, you never actually mention the fact that when Blair/Brown took over running the country in 1997 they inherited the best economic outlook by any incoming government in history, now that is fact
