Just now very briefly....I'm not sure what exactly it is you're planning. Sounds like fun. I guess someone like the Pope is cyber squatting on the Church site.....

Re: Hyndburn Life ?

Here's just a quick thought. What if HBC where to offer To buy this site from Roy I'm sure he would be delighted to sell it to them for say, half what it cost for the survey they commissioned & hey presto! He would be able to take early retirement off the proceeds (not bad for a guy of 27).
Then, they would be able to take on not only the existing moderators on generous Salaries thus negating the need for them to ever have to do any genuine work ever again, BUT within say 1 month they would discover that they would need to double or even triple the number of moderators add in, three managers per moderator (with expenses of course).
This would mean that by Christmas every member of Accyweb would be in secure employment looking forward to a really nice pension @ the end of their short working life, even if Accyweb was to close because no-one was interested.
:smoky: :s_aim1:

Ah but Less you are missing one vital question..................

Would any of us actually want to work for HBC?

Hyndburn Life (possibly, probably, presumably) nabbing all those domain names.

OK, I know it's the done thing to prevent other people using them. :)

Willow what you would have to consider is the best Christmas party in the thirty years of HBC'S existence We would create a deficit!

Re: Hyndburn Life ?

I wouldn't worry about the bill boards for the HBc site around town - I make sure I stay well clear of Accrington town centre (as I'm sure plently of people do) and therefore I will not see any adverts for competition of this site - in fact, come to think of it, if it wasn't for this site I would never have known about it - looks like you need to put in an invoice to HBC for advertising!!!

Re: Hyndburn Life ?

I visit various places on the net but in the end we always come back to the places we enjoy most don't we? So as this site has so much variety and so much of interest to the members it's hardly going to be affected by competition is it?
