I met Prince Charles just before his marriage when I was working as an archaeological conservator at the Mary Rose Trust of which he was patron - pic proof below! I am a fan of his, I know he likes his privileges but why not, he also does much good work. I hated the saintly Diana and her cult and I'm glad he's been allowed to find happiness with Camilla. I'm also glad that his children and the other young royals have turned out to be so level headed. It's good that the school children are making cards etc, nice that they are made aware of the country's heritage and traditions and hopefully learning some respect. I reckon if push came to shove most folks would prefer royalty to a republic - imagine having to vote for a head of state every few years! |

I got a good view of the Queen and her hubbie back in 2005 in St James Pk as they went passed in their motor - the crowds had thined out on her way back. Also I went to Buckingham Palace and shook hands with Prince Edward. |

Charly's coming? Too bad, that's a good enough reason to stay away, hope he doesn't bring his donkey with him.
