Might I suggest "We luv Queenie" as a suitable slogan -or how about something more retro, a giant safety pin and "God Save the Queen" for all Accy's aging punks;)

I have been given 2 flags on golden-coloured plastic sticks ( a pressie from my god-daughter) and will wave them dutiously when Her Maj is in town. I am thinking of organising a wee street party here in Castelverde if anone wants to come and join in. It will be very British, Cucumber sandwiches, Battenburg cake(?)! etc all washed down with plenty of the national drink - Tea, of course.

I have been known to stand for the National Anthem, ahem:o:D

This is traditionally 'half day closing'.

Do you really think that many people will visit the town just to see her?

YES!

The figure I've heard is an expected 30,000. Not sure where they will come from though

Are schoolkids going to be herded in to 'line the route', whether they want to or not?

I asked my daughter if they had said anything at school but she hasn't heard a thing.
