Yes, the Welshman Tom is still asking for the women to throw their knickers at him, wouldn't have thought he was accymans type though.

In that case we'll swap him for his name sake who purports to be the MP for Hyndburn

I wasn't aware of it until just now, but there is a Comet Thatcher which causes us a shower of meteorites every April.

the Lyrid meteor shower

So it looks as though she will be making a comeback every year.

Whoever named it realised that she wasn't/isn't a star - just a force for destruction.

So why should it cost all those who detested the cow ONE PENNY?

Perhaps to pay for the concrete needed to make sure she's not part of the second coming?

Actually, DtheP, it was an even better bargain than that.
The cost of the police was £2million but they would have been on duty and on pay anyway.
So the cost was only £1.6 million. That's 2.4 pence for every person!

Come on, cashman, I reckon you've had more than 2.4pence worth of pleasure moaning about it!

Were they on duty?
Or were they on overtime so that the coppers actually on duty didn't miss out on doing folk for motoring offences?
:)
I bet while they where down there non of them had to sleep under bridges, unlike the so called volunteers for the Olympics.
