A sad waste of life and the fact it is suspicious makes it worse. Condolences to the family.

Such tragic news. Condolences to the family and also to the fire services involved. To loose so many lives last night must seem like they have the most harrowing of jobs this morning.

I think it's standard police procedure to treat any serious fire as suspicious until proved otherwise. They do that to protect the scene.

Police hace confirmed family as the one of the ASFC site.

Father in Whyensaw (South Manchester)

Cause of fire is the use of Flammable materials but NO sign of forced entry and they think that the person who started fire was still IN the house.....

Re: Tragic House Fire In Accrington

just been comfirmed on sky news that it is now being classed as a MURDER enquiry..as evidence of excelerants have been found in numerous locations within the house ... they are saying that it looks as though it has been STAGED to look like arson but there are no signs of any forced entry ...

i've drawn my own conclusions from that ..but will refrain from posting them as its still a delicate subject ..no matter what

I knew the lady quite well and it is a terribly sad event for family and friends and as has already been posted, for the community as she was a very valuable member of the community and worked very hard to promote harmony.

I agree with Stanerlee, please don't speculate as to the causes on here as it is being investigated by the police at this stage.
