no the nags head has been done up and is open upto now never been in though

Well worth a visit. Although it's been renovated, it still has a traditional feel about it.

we have had a accyweb meet in the railway which is just down the road and has been done up too it has a good smoke area

Must admit, the last time I was in the Railway about ten years ago, it was a bit of a dive. I'll make a visit there on my next pub inspection tour! :D

blackburn road sounds like a temperance walk these days my parents had the langs arms and then dale st club in the late sixties
when you are describing the george pub was that originally the royal at the opposite corner to the globe at the bottom of scaitcliffe st

Used to go in the Royal now and again way back when. A lad called Lawson who was in my class at school lived there. However, the Lang's Arms was my favourite in that area. Out of the house, through the "underground" and hey presto! first refreshment stop of the evening! :thepint:

the Langs was always last port of call before the friday night dance at the miners, which was a good night until the bouncers bounced me.:D

Ah but the miners was a club in those days, n that was the only 1 (i can think of:D) now pubs ......................:D

well ya can wait, but i will say my best mate, could not enter a pub on blackburn rd. between Accrington Commercial (regency now) n Intack Traffic lights, now that beat me hands down.:tongueout
