Not actually Blackburn Rd. Accrington but Blackburn Rd. Rising Bridge, Many years ago there used to be a pub at bottom of Hazel Street (opposite Hollands) does anyone know what it was called or how I can find out, It was probably more than 60 years ago. (Maybe this should be in Questions and answers but just posted in the forum on pubs.)

I used to go in both the Dog (when Harold had it) and the Bay too, John and Sandra had the Coach and Horses (I worked behind the bar there) before they took the Alma, sadly John died about 3 years ago, not sure where Sandra is now the last I heard of her she was working behind the bar in Bash Con

The only pub in Church is The Thorn although the Cross Guns opens and closes every few weeks. The Imperial is now closed. The Bridge pub in Church is only half standing and there is Monte Cristo's in Church but you can't really call it a pub.

Fancy closing down Pubs, the cheek of it, is nothing Sacred. Clubs will be next - mark my words.
