I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Oswaldtwistle dream.

I have a dream that one day this town will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the Coppice hills of Accrington the sons of former Chavs and the sons of former Chavettes will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the County of Lancashire, a lovely place, drowning with the rain of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of Night clubs and clothes shops.

I have a dream that my Three children will one day live in a Town where they will not be judged by the name of their trainers but by the content of their child Trust Fund Accounts.

I have a dream that one day the town of Ossy, whose Councillors lips are presently dripping with the words of Panoptican & Friends of…, will be transformed into a situation where little clogger boys and clogger girls will be able to join hands with little Chav boys and Chav girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of our neighbourhood watches

Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Accrington. From every pound shop, let freedom ring.
