Ya Dave the grass is always greener, can't see chelski winning the league, think the plastics are too far in front, but he can play in the champions League so if Barca have an off day Chelski could just step in;)

A good week for D in G, late burst for the Europa League perhaps:rolleyes::rolleyes: They also got rid of the Spanish bloke so no doubt D you will be celebrating.:D
Sad for Jay though, on the downward slope I reckon - heard a rumour that they spent more than United in this transfer window - reckon they will chicken out though before too long;);)
P.S. United won last night - beat Villa and yer "Fat Boy" got 2 - wasn't it Villa that knocked rovers out of the FA Cup?:D:D:D

But he won't get a Premiership Winner's Medal though. Any of the scousers into double figures yet? United have got the leading scorer and the leader in assists;);):D

Still stick by that, but he would not have got the support at Rovers thant he gets from la Creme. I can think of a few strikers that I would rather have. But, we keep on winning - certainly not losing, whereas Rovers have lost more than they have won - even the scousers have a better record.
It is still catch us if you can - the only way anyone else is going to win the Premiership is if we lose it.:D:D:D

Can't knock it :D Things do appear to be looking up for us. As to Torres not sad to see him go really as he wasn't sparking as he should've been, to much time injured & since the WC in South Africa virtually wasn't there ! Still we can't fault his contribution when he was on form though.

All the best to him in what he does (with the exception of any games against the Pool). :D

DaveinGermany 04-02-2011 21:51

Re: Liverpool road to the title 2011

See Torres has been on the TV, he says he's still got respect for the Pool & should he score on Sunday, he'll not make a big deal about it.

No gloating ? Speaking of which, anyone know were that plazzy Manc Mancie is ??? I've noticed he's not been on of late, despite his daft rants I'm actually missing his input & biased chuntering ! :D

well its now going on near 24 hours since the Wolves did the dirty deed and not one token appearance from a plastic, maybe they're waiting for the results of the inquest by Sir Red Nose, to be published, no doubt it will be about an inexperienced Ref (youngest in the Prem) who failed to give 4 penalties and didn't rule at least one goal offside and of course only 5 minutes of injury time, now that was bloody ridiculous, the league will no doubt be getting a strongly worded letter about the standard of refereeing dropping with less and less of the men in black sticking to United's rules, its just not on United having to use a level playing field is it:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I do have a life which comes before Accyweb.
I suppose we had to lose sometime - it could have been worse - if it had been Rovers, but stopped having nightmares when I was a young child. Anyway, we are still in the top half of the league, notice that Rovers aren't and as for goal difference - well:D
Haven't bothered looking at League 2 Cashy, but I doubt that Stanley will be in the top half of the table. One can only think that they have reached their natural level.
I still say it is ours to lose.;):D

The Theatre of Merchandising is full of plastic mancs and the rest watch on tell, oh by the way to get to Old Trafford you turn left or right off the M6 depending where your coming from, to find the ground asK a policeman they're well versed in pointing visitors in the right direction:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Quite right Wyn - called freedom of choice. I and many others have given a fair slice of our lives ensuring that we, which includes you as well, retain that freedom. 7
Is it any different Jay than when Jack Walker broke the British transfer record twice to win the title? or do you want to sweep that under the carpet. It has always seemed strange that you could never hang onto your better players or managers, interesting to know the reasons for that.:rolleyes:;):D

Watch the house of cards come tumbling down when Sir Red Nose packs it in, you only have to look what happens to any top team when they lose there mentor Butch Wilkins at Chelski, When Fergie goes United will find themselves paying out million after million to try and keep the status quo or a bit Liverpoolesk:D and believe me it will happen, you only have to look back to the time when Matt Busby called it a day, it took 26 years to climb the ladder of success again:rolleyes:

Good business sense Jay, 2007 we signed him from Atletico for 26,5 Mill on a 6 year contract, nearly 4 years later we flog him to Chelski for 50 Mill = profit of 23,5 Mill, which is then re-invested plus a bit for Carroll & Suarez & we got a few bob for Babel ! ;)

Never mind Jay, your Curry kings are business folk so no doubt they'll come up with something or other in the near future ....... who knows, they may be getting pilau-eried at the moment but Korma blimey they may make a late rush Balti-ng up the table Bahji-ing past all those detractors ! :D

Well, I certainly don't have the lot from Wastelands, the Scousers or that lot from down the road - to the West as my second choice - who is it? For me to know and you to guess;):D:D:D

It was a rhetorical question. I assumed that like every other Accringtonian I've ever met who supports an out-of-town club, Stanley would be your natural choice as a second club.

Hmmm...I can see your conversion is going to be more difficult than I thought. :dry8:

Being a honorary Accringtonian, I consider Stanley as my Second team. Well it beats Tranmere anyday.

My thoughts go to Jay and DinG, both slipped further behind La Creme de La Creme today, and we were playing another team in the top four.
Not only that Jay, but your "Fat Boy *****" scored what will probably be a very strong contender for goal of the season - and the money could start rolling in from Qatar if the papers are to be believed - Catch us if you can.
Stanley - waterlogged ground? This was raised earlier in the week - isn't it time they got their act together - where were the Southend fans when it was called off?

Barry, where were you last week?????? You must remember that? La creme etc were trounced by the team at the BOTTOM of the table!!!!! Yet not a peep.
So by that count, we would have preferred a win but there you go, so we gained 3 points on you and lost only one today. I don't think though we have a chance of the top three this year, but hey at least we don't have £700,000,000.00 + of debt to worry about

Just for once, Barrie, I agree with you! As for the Saffend fans, they were otside the ground looking mighty disgruntled...and who can blame them?

Yep I can just imagine.. all three of them.. I bet it could have turned right proper nasty but for the massive police presence..:)
All in all not a bad day..Stanley and Rovers don't lose.. United win (and Nani's goal was as good as Rooney's)..king kenny's liverpool (the city that never sleeps on giro day) ..could only scrape a draw.;)

May I have the audacity to refer you to post 423, you obviously have a problem in remembering back a few days - and 2-1 is hardly a trouncing. Jay can probably explain a trouncing better than me;);):tongueout:D

Notice that you are refraining from actually answering posts Jay:p Also noticed that you are only 5 points above a relegation place - you are 7 points behind the Scousers and have lost 13 times more games than we have, oh dear :eek::D Your lot can have a rest next week, seeing as you don't have any interest in the FA Cup, so they may do better the following week - one other point to make, United have 2 players in the top 10 goal scorers, one is the leading scorer even - where are the Rovers players?:tongueout:D:D

Rovers don't pay £30 million for players either, we never will compete at the top level of the prem that's reserved for those who have been throwing money at the game for years. I remember when Jack Walker decided to back his home town club, he was slated from hill to burn, by the likes of that alcy Greaves, but I actually noticed he has said very little about the two clubs he played for Chelski and Spurs who spend money for fun, I still have more pride in what Walker did at Rovers than any Yanks Russians or Arabs just wanting a toy train set to play with

we're only two thirds of the season and the plastics have already been on the box 30 near on times, might well be okay for armchair fans like you and Barrie, but the rest of the country are sick to the back teeth of the red nosed one pointing at his watch, think that took the biscuit when the commentator in the last round said this is the tie of the round Southampton v Manchester United Reserves:mad:

Ya dave a bit of a let down after the two previous nights with great displays from both Spurs and Arsenal, and a great couple of rounds of boxing thrown in, mind you I think Gattuso picked on the wrong chap in Joe Jordon never mind how old he is, he was lucky his mates dragged him away:D

Well, they did give United a better challenge than Rovers did the last time that they played United - but perhaps the Crawley team cost more than Rovers team did - one good thing about this weekend, Rovers didn't get any closer to the relegation zone:tongueout:tongueout:tongueout

Yep.. and 7 times more support than Rovers brought to OT.. 74,500 . just waiting for Jaysay and co to say they were all from down south.. Very difficult to get a ticket for the Theatre of Dreams (unlike Ewood Park), unless you want to pay a tout - and then there is a good chance that the ticket won't get you in - I did hear that at Wastelands they will even pay you to swell the crowd in the biggest council house in UK.:rolleyes::tongueout:tongueout

Something called "watchability". More people go to Old Trafford than any other ground, almost all attendance figures at other grounds are the highest when Utd play there - do Rovers increase any away gates? But perhaps the most interesting question is - who do Rovers play when they get the highest home gate of the season? If it isn't United, then I am sure they will be close to the top visitors;);):D
