Oh dear. We have to be careful or we will be considered to have gone off thread - but I suppose we did that on the first page:alright:
Great weekend for Stanley and United fans, same same weekend for Rovers and that Scouse lot, another weekend and another 3 points dropped - even better that the Gooners got beaten today.
Suppose i must say that I think Liverpool's aspirations for the Premiership title are long gone - perhaps Mancie was talking of another title.:D;);)

Ah well you were right Barrie.. great match but when the Ref is a chelski supporter there's no way we could have got anything from the game!

I'd say United were all over Chelski in the first half.. second half Chelski had it.. but that was with help from the ref .. it was plain to see what was happening.. Rooney and Nani were getting booted all over the gaff and the ref did nothing.. people will say it's just desserts because Rooney should have been banned and not allowed to play in this match and United have been lucky with decisions this season... but a bad ref is a bad ref whichever team you support.. I did'nt see much wrong with Torres goal in the first half.. but then a clear handball from Terry in the box.. nailed on pen... the ref was bad and that's the end of it!

What an absolutely terrible Ref. what ever was he thinking about give Chelski that penalty and as for the sending of well I'm lost for words, Martin Atkinson must have forgot that when reffing United Games you must adhere to United rules, how else have they won all those titles at least 5 have been RA. No doubt Fergie the Red Nosed Scotsman will insist Mark Clutterbucket gives Prem refs a course in handling United matches, just to make sure this doesn't happen again

There can be no doubt that Ruiz should have been sent off - not only body checking Rooney but Chicarita as well, more than once. How many times did Ivanovic have to flatten Nani before he got booked.
Makes for an interesting finish - see the bookies still think it will be United.

Yes, it is all bad news at the moment - few players out and now they have just extended Fletcher's contract:( Just hoping it goes with the statistics - however the deciding game will, inn all probability, be United v Gooneys:D:D:D

We may be in danger of losing the title race, but, Rovers are in just as much danger of losing Premiership status - perhaps more. Only 2 points above the drop zone and you have played 2 games more:alright::hidewall::D

Hell find myself agree with you on this one Mancie think they were worth a draw, but the bottom line is we need nine points from somewhere and possibly a change of luck, one thing is for sure we don't have miss Dunny when he's not playing which unfortunately to often these days

He Jay, see you have shut up about the Rooney elbow - is that because Nzonzi elbowed Duff, and got away with it.
We may have to worry about missing out on the Premiership title, but the Scousers aren't going to win it - are they going to win anything other than the United derby, and Rovers fans can only hope to keep Premiership status - they certainly are not going to win anything this year - but of course that is the normal situation for them:eek:;):D

Well think the ref got most things right really possible a red for carragher, but if he'd given one to him he would certainly have given one to that little brazilian twit, Carragher's was that late challenge his tackle was premeditated thuggery, but he does have previous in that department

If you were watching the match - even though you have previously stated on a number of occasions that you would never watch United, you would have seen that Rafael had astuds scraped down his upper thigh when he beat the first player, then he made the tackle. Yes, they are both full of fire, but what about Smith Souness etc and quite a few Rovers players. I don't doubt that United will figure higher in the fair play league than Rovers will even theough Rovers get away with a lot - the unpronouncable one elbowing Duff for instance:rolleyes:;):D

Well, after a dismal performance mid week losing out to Braga in Europe, we faced Sunderland today & got a result, that is all you can say about it really, unlike when we played the Mancs & they had their dodgy penalty call upheld, ours today shouldn't have been.

It was clearly outside the box & should've been a free kick & not a pen. Even Jamie Carragher admitted as much when interviewed unlike a certain Manc player ! That unfair advantage then helped us get a win although not one to be proud of.

As to Carrol I still reckon he wasn't worth the money the lumping great thing that he is, so far he's not impressed me at all in any of the games I've seen him perform in, reckon we were sold short as far as he's concerned.

Still at this level it's about points & today we got some so are still following the pack with our only realistic aim being to get a 5th placing to get some European football again next year, dear me how the mighty are fallen eh ? :o

I wouldn't bank on it Mancie, we'll have a TV presence other than just against Manc U & as to Carroll, we'll whip his arse into shape along the way so that just maybe he'll get to be a half decent player. :D

I don't know about that Dave their beloved Keano got it right years ago, anyway whats this about northern lads, the FA were please when United and City were drawn together in the cup semi's, saves a problem of two sets of fans both travelling down south at the same time:D:D

Are Rovers going to continue with the mediocre gates if they get relegated this season - only 1 point above the relegation zone. Never mind Jay, they will soon be in the same league as Stanley:D:D:D

Simply because you can't buy a ticket at the gate - only from touts.
The Theatre of Dreams is filled to capacity for every home game - think Anfield is as well, but doubt that Ewood Park gets capacity crowds. That only happens when United come to town - who played at Ewood for your biggest gate last season Jay?:rolleyes::D:D

Well the reason Rovers don't always get capacity (average 25000)is because of all the plastic manc trophy hunters:tongueout

More likely that they want to watch an attractive match, with everyone trying to beat the Creme de la Creme rather than the mediocre lot at Ewood, who all too often roll over. You don't get capacity crowds because you are a poor team and the spectators don't stay away to go to the Theatre because you have previously said that all United's crowd comes from London:rolleyes::rolleyes::tongueout:D

Then again most of Man Utd supporters live around or come from Lanc's and the north west.. it would be silly to imagine they all live or were born in Manchester... same as all the many Rovers fans I've known were not born or even lived in blackburn.

Teased you a bit today Jay, but then helped you out, glad that it put some spine into your lot, they did real good against Arsenal.
Pity we can't say the same about the scousers - "King Kenny's" crown can't be tarnishing already, can it?

We are still riding high, catch us if we let you - Liverpool, safe but dull: Rovers, still squeaky bum time, could still be Dooooomed: Stanley, nose bleeds and panic in case there is yet another writ issued against them and they get closed down yet again - is that a record that Accrington hold - most times a football club has gone out of business?

He's like all Plastic Mancs Wyn arrogant, but there will come a time when the bubble will burst, remember when United couldn't win a raffle and the Scousers were winning everything and without Sky money, but that came to an end as it will at the Theatre of Merchandising and it might not be that far away, when old Red Nose finally goes:D

I take it then that all this stuff about writs is just on a par the usual drivel I hear from Man U fans when I go in pubs in London. You may not have noticed it but we have a new bloke at the top now and we all have complete trust in him. Can you say the same about the Glaziers? From the number of cockneys and paddies I see around Manchester wearing green and yellow scarves on matchdays, I'd say not.

As for gloating about the number of times your local club has gone out of business, it takes a particular kind of disloyalty to do that. Fitting really for a plastic Manc.

And just how many of you Man Utd haters can honestly state that you have never - never ever, uttered an obscenity in the hearing of a woman or a child?
Nothing much said about Drogba having an altercation with a Chelsea fan as he left the field, and very little about the "harsh" red card for the 2 footed tackle by the Rover's player.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

As I said I didn't watch the Premos on Saturday have just seen the review this morning I just wonder what Saturdays result would have been if Lee Mason had have had the bottle to do his job right and send Vidic of when the Hammers were winning 2-0, a little bit like the Blackpool match really when the Lashers were winning 2-0 and the dirty little Brazil nut dragged the Pool player down in the box, should have been a SK and a red card there too, that's 6 points in two games they've been given, it would be such a good league if it was a level playing field but it isn't and never has been:p
