Cheer’s Mr. T…..Agreed. No doubt a very busy man, I’ve never met him but I’m grateful for his presence to date and hope and pray that he and the club come to terms; lets face it there is enough common ground. |

From Boadicea to the dreaded Margaret Thatcher, they have all proved that they are the equal of Man when the chips are down!!...well almost!!. Therefore, I am so pleased to see that you, unlike some who are risking this lady's wrath!, are brimming over with confidence in the efforts which Ms.Lazarus, with her' happy knack', is making on behalf of the Salvation of Accrington Stanley !. Psssst !...Mrs Yonmon is dictating this post to me, so I'll bring it to a close before I'm in real trouble !!... ps.Alfred.E. comments..'Give a woman a job and she grows balls !'. ...somewhat risque I guess...but a hope for the future at 'The Crown' ???. Re: "Save Our Stanley"
the football league payout is/should be earmarked for the general running of the club over the year and will form a substantial part of the annual budget.
However, that being said, there will be no day to day running if the club was to fold - so that money WILL HAVE TO pay the HMRC. Rightly or wrongly we should be looking to pay this entire amount in one go. I hope they don't try to get away with a lump sum and then bits and pieces because we will be paying more in interest and penalties. IF WE HAVE NO MONEY LEFT OVER TO PAY DAY TO DAY RUNNING THEN WE WILL HAVE TO SHED STAFF but I'd rather that than be left with no club. It might be robbing Peter to Paul but in the absence of a sugar daddy, in the absence of a public bail out that will be the only option. So let's not fanny about not paying suppliers etc - do the job the right and honourable way and let's try to regain some element of dignity about this whole thing. If we end up in the Conference or worse then I personally don't give a monkeys. But let's try to be professional |
