Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley

Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
OK Chaps and Chapesses, I'm Micks mate who was at the court. These are some of the notes I took:
1) Don O'Neil, Rob, Phil Whalley, Ilias Khan were present and met beforehand with the brief. 2) ASFC were about 3rd on the court list. 3) HMRC Counsel pressed for winding up. 4) The Judge was sympathetic to HMRC, to say the least. 5) A further £125K of debt has now accumulated outside the petition 6) Payment yesterday was £96K 7) £100K now promised by the PFA 8) Balance to be paid by individual settlements. Also Chairman of leonard Cheshire foundation to make donation. 9) Club asked for 14 days to make payment. 10) Judge gave 7 days, and that's it - final. Sorry this is not my usual verbal eloquence, but I know you want to hear ASAP |
Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
No probs Ozzy, you did have me worried for a second mate!!
As for Robs statement on 2Br, I personaly feel that He was sounding very upset, His voice was wavering and He seemed flustered................He is normaly fairly assured when interviewed. I too heard Him say that they had paid just £100,000 with £10,000 to come today.......where is the rest of the money from the SOS appeal, or is the 'fundometer' not a true record of the amount raised? They should be left in no doubt that there must be mass resignations IMMEDIATLEY, and NOT just those of O'Neil and Lazerus, I mean the board members aswell. We have been thrown a lifeline by Messrs Khan and Marsden.....................DO NOT SCREW IT UP AGAIN. All fans should now get behind these two guys and push for a 'new start' ...................starting at 6pm this evening outside the club. |
Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley

Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley

Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
so more lies from the board stated £100,000 was paid not £96,000
now we have another £125,000 debt on top thanks to khan marsden and Chairman of leonard Cheshire foundation for their support |

Many thanks for that Tealeaf. Unfortunately, there are a number of items there - especially (5) - that make me even more worried. |
Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
why the hell only 96K when more than that has been raised.....O'neill your nothing but a *************
and thats coming from someone who knows naff all about footy |
Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
Thanks Tealeaf, The joint Chairs board and chief exc should resign on mass, after seeing this case through. What as happened to the monies raised on top of the 96000 which they have paid? It's a good job Ilyas was present, or we would definitly have no Club now. I can't believe the lies that have come out of the Club.

Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
To paraphrase O'Neill on Friday, "We're nine-tenths of the way there" ... utterly shameful deceit .
Thanks again for reporting the truth Tealeaf. |
Re: Court case for Accrington Stanley
it kinda proves my point that NOTHING has been put in by the board, all that money was put in by Stanley supporters
