Re: Deadline Day

Only watched Proccy for the last couple of seasons and he could easily play at an higher level, good engine, technically sound and a physical presence,he would be missed if he left Acci, but I believe he has a good relationship with Coley,so it would be a suprise if he left

Re: Deadline Day

i thought proccy was less influential this season.
Alot of games passed him by.

You will never se an headless chicken and Proctor in the same room.
Good engine yes but he would improve that if he stopped constantly chasing the ref arms outstretched appealing for every decision. Play off v
Stevenage was an example. Referees have now stopped being influenced by players and eventually being human they get fed up. Leave him to do his job as sadly even the "bad ones" usually stick around till full time, lets start trying to get them on our side for a change.

To be fair to Proccy he spent a lot of the season having to anchor midfield until Luke Joyce came back into the side to play that role which then freed Proccy up to go more to his orthadox box to box play.

My worry here is not so much losing individuals but more the spine of the team but maybe no news is good news?

John Coleman has admitted that the Reds may struggle to compete with the salary he has been told the left back has been offered elsewhere.
Jacobson set to decide Accrington Stanley future (From Lancashire Telegraph)

The player, though, confirmed he has not decided to leave at this stage.

And if you want confirmation its one of their leading stories on their website :(

Re: Deadline Day

I disagree about Proccy,Acci finished 5th in the league,he never went hiding in any game i watched (unlike a few i could mention),screened the back four for a good part of the season(resulting in the clean sheet record being broken),he ended up scooping most of the individual awards,
How he can be accused of games passing him by is beyond me,how many games did we lose ???,
Far enough,if the tactics are to go long, centre mids get isolated, thats not his fault, although when we did,he was sometimes the target man.
Very very good player, cant convince me otherwise.

Well said, that man! Scored some belting goals, too.

Don't know where we are going anymore; down no doubt. I notice ccj's again in May & June. No players signed with one exception; no realistic budget, only poor prospect contracts on offer, yet people talk about shiny new stadiums in the distance. Still we hear these rumours all the time at this level.

I once heard a rumour from a guy in a pub; who got it direct from the horses mouth that JC would be given a substantial transfer budget to bring in players in the Jan window. Never said which January though; worrying that.

Proper little ray of sunshine aren't you Doug? Can't help but have a dig at the new regime can you! As others have said, we never have signed players before we need to as the earlier we sign 'em the earlier we have to start paying them & I have every confidence that we will have a team signed up in plenty of time for the new season

Years of root within the club will not disappear over a few wks.....we will suffer the effects for a few more seasons if anyone thinks a magic wand has be waved and everything will be rosie now EW has cut all ties with the club need to take the rose tinted glasses off!

But we as a club have great staff and fans who will carry the club through the next few seasons.....most wanted EW gone they have but yet sum still pick holes at the ppl who are trying to turn this club around!

This is meant to be a new era lets enbrace it :)

C'mon guys, the summer's supposed to be for cricket, golf and tennis. Leave the football gossip to the tabloids.
This time a year ago we lost our best goalscorer, best young prospect, best goalkeeper, and best centre half. I anticipated doom for last season. How wrong I was.
The important signings are in place - Messrs Coleman and Bell.
