I do agree with that. I for one felt that he didn't always deserve the glowing reports he seemed to get. He certainly worked tremendously hard but his shooting could be extremely wayward. I always felt his ball control was poor. How many times did we see the ball bounce off his legs or his body when he should have been able to control it more effectively? Maybe I'm in a minority of one (or possibly two including cashy) but I also felt he had a lot to learn

Right lets step back and think a while all we have is media talk nothing set in stone so to speak, as far as i'm aware jimmy is still on holiday until the weekend,so unless hes been doing adeal while on his hols then all we have is speculation on skysports part.Gornell another who is still away as far as i'm aware.Something as big as this you would think would be on the fishy sight ( please no sniggering )in the Telegraph on the local radio,But no!!! So speculation and Rumours is all we have at the moment..

Sorry mab. I know what you are getting but ..... The info seems to have come from Sky and BBC - maybe that's just gossip too.

My tuppence worth on El Tel simply the best target man I have seen since Mullers in his prime.

Bearing in mind he played a lone striker role one in which he never played before his effort was non stop and his hold up play was terriffic and unselfish at times.

His goals would have numbered twenty plus had he have been part of a front two, I do rate him very highly and players like that are few & far between.

If it is not to be as with other players for next season well thanks for the memories and for giving us an amazing season and we move on.....

nobodys knocking his effort mate, but doubt very much if 20 plus woulda been acheived, fer my money still needs much work on his finishing.:)
