agree with paying a fee for a striker but can,t see the club paying for a goalkeeper. we,ve had some decent ones at the club over the years without forking money out. a season long loan for rodak would be the ideal move for us.

A keeper like Rodak would be worth it, a stable squad instead of loans

Money would be well spent on Rodak.

Can't afford to keep giving teams soft goals.

At the minute we've a gaff prone keeper and no-one to help shoulder the burden upfront. Last seasons problems not sorted (yet).

I was impressed with this player but we still seem to leave him out on the wing alone while we bunch play in front of the whinney hill stand. When we do look up and spread the ball wide we make a dangerous attacking force. Pierro and Jonno were also left in limbo to long as we failed to lift our heads up and look. If we can crack that and improve our lines of communication by appointing a captain that will command the field we will go up. This is a good squad just waiting to get going. Oldham should be a good true marker as to where we are at this moment. We do still need one or two players including a keeper. But I do feel it is our turn and we are good enough this time.

I think you will find that quite a lot of strikers score their goals in lower divisions that's how scout's make their money.

not having a go at the lad before anyone gets upset but it is a bit of a gamble. for every jamie vardy there are plenty of others who don,t make it playing higher than a certain level. come out of non league where they score loads but never hit the net in the football league. really hope he does come off for us and goes on to bigger things.

Transfer Central rumoured the move

Someone 'at Bradford' confirmed contact had been made but nothing imminent

Wht would he not deny it at that juncture? By all means ramp up interest if a move is on the cards, but not at such cheek.

Bradford 'appen think they got McCarten for next to nowt so can come offer another set of tracksuits to take Pearson.

The interest has been created on every transfer site you care to visit via social media.
What Im saying is that Andy has rightly denied any knowledge because to confess there is might bring other suitors along.
It's all a game but let's be clear.
Pearson is a contracted player so if Accrington say no - it's NO.

andy has probebly denied knowledge as there hasn,t been anything official going on at the moment. no matter what happens over the next few days he still is our player and i,m sure that we,ll get a good fee for him. the give away days are over. probebly another reason our stay away follower has turned his back on the club. he,ll be hard to replace if he does go, so quicker something happens one way or another is better for us and matty.

How "Home Grown"Ross Sykes has never been given a chance to prove himself in a Stanley shirt and so easily allowed to go for a trial at Leeds beggars belief. What is the reason for constantly overlooking this talented, ambitious 17 year old week after week? I don't understand the idea of bringing through a young player to the point of getting on the bench and then blocking his progress from that point on. What ever is the outcome of this situation, I wish Ross the very best for his future and should he prove to be successful at another club then I will begin to wonder what criteria is applied by management to get selected to play.

we have all wondered this in the past especially when those out of form were selected week after week. at the end of the day coley might trust some players more than others to carry out his game plan and rate some higher than others. don,t think he,s got a downer on young players as he,s signed plenty on loan. it could be just our home grown ones that fall into that catogary. we,ll never really know.

While I get what you're saying about our young players not often being selected I don't think allowing Ross the opportunity of a trial with a championship club (albeit Leeds!) is 'blocking his progress' but denying him that chance could be.
Were we blocking Connor Mahoney's progress when we let him go to Rovers after only playing a couple of times for our first team? He seems to have done well for himself since - it might not work out at Leeds & Ross may well come back, if so I really hope he gets his chance in the first team when he's ready to do so.

Re: Signings

Signed Danish goalkeeper Simon Bloch Jorgensen. Dan Jewell says registration of players has to be in by midday to play tomorrow! Could expect 1 more player and a departure Is matty on his way out?
