Two more with double barrelled names !
Dallison played at Cambridge on loan beginning of last season.
Forbes I think is a Northerner. He was at Preston's academy. Also played at Fleetwood.

Re: Signings

Got to commend Coley on the shrewd signings/loans he's managed to complete for the new season & to Andy Holt for backing his judgement.
I think we were all disappointed & concerned by the departures of Stanley stalwarts Pearson & McCarten and now, it seems perhaps, Omar Beckles???
Our goalkeeping concerns have, on last nights evidence, been resolved with the signing of Jorgensen.
Defenders Richards-Everton, Forbes & Dallison look more than competent.
Nolan gets better with every game & is proving to be a midfield general.
Jackson was truly inspiring last night & I'm certain will provide us with the goals we need.
New wingers McLeod & Sousa have shown real ability, albeit as super-subs.
Never felt more optimistic about our chances of promotion - ever!
:alright:

actually seen the lad play a couple of years ago when on loan at stockport county from everton. looked quite a cultured centre half and only 18 then. if he,s improved since then, a lot don,t however, he,s an exciting signing. my lad who,s a regular there blamed the form of the side going off after his loan period there.

You are a right pillock if you think accymad is racist, or just yer heads too big.,also you would NOT be a Stanley Fan for 2 mins if things were to suddenly change. So one like you should not be saying, a Stanley Fan should be banned, cos yer only here for a few seasons at the most.

To add some background to Twenty Eight's remark: someone equally innocuously used the term "jungle drums" a few years at a council meeting which bizarrely led to an allegation of racism. An investigation was held, at great expense, and the allegation was upheld. A later judgement (presumably more wasted money) overturned the ruling.

Now LD it's your turn to elucidate and tell us all just where the humour exists or is implied in this sentence ?.
In no way could anyone accept it as an internet understanding, being nothing but cheap and thoughtless words intended to hurt an innocent contributor to our forum.

I totally agree that there is no hilarity whatsoever in the line... and in the absence of this I
would repeat that asking for AccyMad to be banned from our Forum is quite clearly a serious move !.

Re: Signings

If I said that Accymad should be banned because she's gone blackface with her profile photo and that's racist (ie, her picture of a penguin) I'd assume people would not take that as a serious allegation of racism? They might then conclude it was some very poor attempt at humour since no other explanation exists.

The humour may be directed at the lunacy in which some innocent words or acts lead to allegations of racism these days. Rather than humour intended to be levelled at Accymad.

As I said, the Internet is not a great place in which to understand what was implied. I can understand why Accymad was appalled about what was written by the way. Maybe if Twenty Eight had followed up with a clarification that would have helped considerably.

mentioned him to coley a couple of years ago when on loan to stockport from everton. my lad raved about him when he was there and understood myself after seeing him a couple of times. glad to see him here although he is a centre half by trade and not a left back.

Is there any chance we can send young Jonny back to Hull tomorrow? Surely we could use that money on a player who is of use to us?
