I think Matty is a better defender than Bucko and Halliday,but going forward the latter two are more effective,in particular Bucko.
When defending corners/free kicks Matty(when fullback) becomes a third center back,which is useful against big physical teams.
Bucko for me has upped his game and is nailed on as full back,and his positioning has improved along with his decision making when going forward.
Still think hes a right back tho,but his performances on the left show what a good player he is.

Crooks and Windass are going, whether this month or not, so it's sensible to plan for the day they're no longer committed to Stanley. Hope he can add to the squad.
Does anyone other than Professor Coleman know anything about him; is his midfield play more Anthony Barry than Matt Crooks?

Way i see it is if hes that good, why only sign him until the time they are supposed to be going? dont make sense to me.

Maybe it's only a short term deal initially to see how the injury he had in pre-season pans out? Don't think he's played since end of last season, no use putting him on a longer contract until they know if he can do a job? Just a guess mind . . . .

Oh dear, that article doesn't give a good impression but as we all know from the 'story' in the press last week about our lads being banned from a certain drinking establishment sometimes the papers get things wrong - hopefully Coley knows him well enough to trust that he's put all that behind him & will make the most of a fresh start - time will tell
