Re: Pre-season friendlies

They were usually part of a week away and normally ended with a game against a Bundesliga side.

Much as I would like to see Rangers at Accy, I doubt that the local police would be too happy given...

Re: Bits & Bobs

I would think that the only game likely to be affected by it is Sunderland in January if it's still on the go. If it works like up here all the clubs did was state our crowds are under the limit and...

Re: Bits & Bobs

Up here we have had this for a while. It is the size of the crowd that matters not the stadium and if any are in unseated areas it's the 4000 that applies.

For big crowds it's random checks so you...

Re: Revived Red

I was just thinking on Saturday when I was down that I hadn't seen him for a while. I only knew him to say hello to but he always spoke when I met him

Re: Signings

Thanks for getting my point. I don't think he is the anti christ all I'm saying is pay attention to what's going on. And on that note, I have other things to be concerned about just now as I'm in...

Re: Signings

That's exactly what I'm saying though, he has been good for the club and there is no indication that there is anything untoward but to think he is chucking his money at this for no return is a bit...

Re: Signings

It's not what happens now you worry about it's what happens in the future. Newcastle fans though Mike ashley was great at one point as did some rangers fans. Same with Craig whyte. Man utd fans...

Re: Signings

While trying to bring some sanity into this without being anti Holt he put money in and got shares back. The supporters club helped fund the fan zone and who knows what other money has been...

Re: Signings

And that is where being part of wham is effective because it leads to many more avenues of credit but credit has to be repaid somehow. Is it a benevolent gesture or will the piper need paid at some...

Re: Signings

I used to think Craig whyte was a good guy. Since then I trust nobody. He appears to have done some good stuff but there's something niggling away now. I'm not saying he is not a good guy because he...

Re: Signings

Not really the same comparison though, is it not like leasehold where Stanley own the stadium but not the ground it's built on. I thought that was quite common with property down your way unlike up...

Re: Our first league fixture is .............

To be honest that was actually quite funny in the context of the whole site.

As I've said before the animosity was because they were refused entry to the league with a ground far better than we...

Re: Ifollow

Only if you live abroad. It already happens with quite a few Scottish clubs. They cannot be shown live in the UK or Ireland.

They won't be shown abroad through this if a proper tv channel is...

Re: Ifollow

That's what they have already. All it is was radio commentary, highlights later on and other guff. I used to subscribe to the Burnley one to get Accy commentary as you get all the games even if it...

Re: Ifollow

I doubt that many of the subscribers would have gone to the game anyway as you have to live overseas.

It may be possible to get a dodgy stream if you are tech savvy enough but I would doubt it....

Re: League cup

It's neither. As I have said earlier the seeds and non seeds are ranked separately therefore the cut off point for each is different. the more southern teams not seeded means there cut off is further...

Re: Ground Developments - Summer 2017?

Planning permission will be the least of our worries as league rules are 2000 seats. How long was the special dispensation given for that and at what point will they decide that it still isn't...

Re: League cup

More than likely to do with the seeding as both would be done separately. The same thing happened up here with the Scottish equivalent.

There will be more northern seeded teams so the cut off is...

Re: Our first league fixture is .............

So we are more likely to be away on the 5th and home the following week when Burnley are away?

Plus Burnley have a home friendly on the 5th v Hannover 96 so it might affect the crowd if we were...

Re: Against the grain . . .

I took it that he was joking as there are only parachute payments for those relegated from the EPL. EFL clubs only get a share of the unused ones where the team gets promoted to the EPL again.
