more great pictures .....is the old car in the picture of little Blackburn Road an Austin 7 ?...or...is it a Morris ?

The one driving towards the camera looks a little too wide to be an Austin7.
My dad had one - reg no HG114 - He ran it on paraffin during the petrol rationing

how long ago was the slaters demolished? wasn't yon when i was a toddler, also can anyone explain why it says "Peel" on burnley rd side of the Broadway?:confused: great photo jeff.;)

Because it was called the Peel's Arms before The Broadway Hotel.... :)
