Re: Global trivia quiz.

I always had a go at the impossible i was lucky if i got above 5 in that! thats why i was bragging when i hit 2nd spot!!! lol

By the way ive just checked my emails and look what i found:

So far you have played 0 of 70,000 quizzes and scored 18013 points.
You are ranked #321 of the 10,000 players in your class (class 98).

Re: Global trivia quiz.

Although the impossible does crush the average, I'm playing it as even when I get my usual 5 or 6 right it still adds a point or two to your overall score. At least at the lower levels.

You guys are all playing the Brain Twist bonus too right? That adds ALOT to your score with no time limits. It is alos quite challenging!

Having my broadband connection has in deed knock my times just about in half. So I got that going for me!

Re: Global trivia quiz.

I'm rarely very consistent with Regional Trivia. I enjoy the Global Trivia alot more being able to pick favored categories. I have been a bit discourage by the repetitivness of some of the questions though. I now see how some of these fast scores are had.

I've got to the point at just looking at the answers an knowing what the right one is. It is now more of a speed challenge then trivia challenge. I believe the questions will get more varied as one climbs up the ladder!

I've missed playing ten games since the clocks changed to British summertime on Sunday, and boy do I need those points.:o

I might have to stay up until 2am tonight so I don't miss 'em again.:D

LancYorkYankee is doing amazingly well in the Global Challenge, and is top of the Lancashire score board, beating the pants off Polly and Lucky Pierre...and me!

Just one question though. If you are coming over to the UK in May, are you looking for a trans-Atlantic flight that is less than eight hours, so you don't have to miss playing a session?:D

Re: Global trivia quiz.

I have been thinking about how that'll work out. Maybe have to pop on in your place to play. It is amazing how much having broadband has improved my scores. I had thought my times were double on dial-up and that is about how it's been working out.

It's rather interesting That although my scores look high in the Lancashire section, I'm not even in the top 15 in the Classical music Mensa team thing. I think it shows the clear advantage of the bit of American bias.

I find it kinda discouraging how often certain questions repeat. I can sometimes run a whole quiz by only looking at the answers, especially in animals and religion! Certainly not in Science and technology though!:D

I'd hate to think of planning my whole England trip around the stupid trivia stuff. However, since me bruv brought it up, can you supply a mapping of places I can play from London to Manchester? LOLLOLLOL

Re: Global trivia quiz.

You'll be very welcome to play here big Bro.

Though I do understand now the problems about logging in and out now. When my friend came down from Scotland, who I've got hooked on the quizzes so much he's become a gold member, I twice played as him because I was so used to just clicking and playing without noticing he was still logged in on my p.c.:D
