Does anyone know who currently owns unit 6 on Broadway? There is an application from Costa Coffee for an external sign.

Can anybody confirm or deny the rumour about the Regency opening as a Wetherspoons pub?

I hate these domes ... they are a complete blot on the landscape, tacky, blingy and totally out of character with the surroundings (rant over).

Its not right cleaver when one bloke starts shouting from it 5 times a day either Kate:rolleyes:

Think this could be quite good, Accysimon, they are always popular.
Still can't have a fag with yer brew though, except they have been known to put tables outside.

Looks as if they are getting rid of the vehicle mantainance unit & garage. Probably going to turn it into the HQ and do away with the existing cop shop. Good to know who those cars belong to that create the hazard at the junction of Wellington St & Nuttall St.
Beats me where all the owners are, you seldom see them on the street in uniform.
Retlaw.

What about the two previous applications, the old Tax office and the building on Hyndburn road, does that mean we will have 3 police stations in Accrington, or can they not make their minds up where they want to live :D

Dunno' Park ...as wise as you. If you look at the letter though, they are just trying to see if they could get change of use. Also, no cells in this building, so would need another. :idunno:

Do they not have to pay a fee with each application...............that's a lot of fees to be paid. Cells are they not a Greenbank, why do they need any more, a quick van ride is all that's needed. Seen a few cells in my time................whilst working of course. :D

Yes, fees have to be paid.

Glad you added that last bit ..LOL.

Didn't know the cells weren't operative at Manchester Road anymore. Because they have mentioned no cells on Grange Lane ...maybe they intend to have them now at Castle House ?

Perhaps they are going back in time to the days of the small stations and police houses. :D
