This has been refused and one was on the erection of the domes and minarets. Good.
There was other refusals on grounds of parking and overbearing impact to surrounding properties.

Reasons for refusal
1 The proposed dome, minarets and canopy, by reason of their location, design,
appearance and materials, would be inappropriate and out of character with the
surrounding development and therefore detrimental to the visual amenities of the area.
Therefore the proposed development would be contrary to saved Policy E10 of the
Hyndburn Borough Local Plan and to Policies Env6 & Env7 of the Hyndburn Core
Strategy and PPS 1.

I managed to stay awake Kate. It lasted about 3 hours, but there was a big agenda as you say. A lot of people at the meeting as well.

What was the main interest ? See some big projects being presented. Hambledon Mill, Junction 7. Noticed the land destined for the Hill Top development has now been sold.

Junction 7 and Hambledon Mill were the big ones.Quite a few people speaking on both, which you would expect. The Hill Top was the report back from the Inspector.

The Planning and Transportation budget has been cut by 30% and staff number have been reduced. The planning reception counter will only be open half days now.

I have attached a pdf letter from HBC with the details in for those interested.

Does all this mean that there will be less checking of projects on site, hence more projects completed that differ from the approved plans. If neighbours don't complain then the developers will do as they please.
