Re: Close Encounters of the ghostly kind?

The only thing that has happened with me is that, I was once sat on my bed looking at a photo of my dead father, no-one else was in the house at the time. I was sat there about 2 minutes when a couple of glasses that were on my dressing table shook. I too tried to make sence of it but, there was no explanation, I thought maybe the dog had stepped on a loose floorboard that had shook the dressing table but when I looked for the dog she was led next to the bed on the other side of the dressing table. Still to this day I don't know what had made the glasses shake. I am a believer, buit apart from this nothing else has happened to me.

Re: Close Encounters of the ghostly kind?

How weird! Ijust typed in a long-ish ghost story that happened to my family and pressed post;it went to a refresh page and the script had gone!

Re: Close Encounters of the ghostly kind?

I believe in ghosts because i was once staying at my uncles house in the isle of man when i saw a boy at the end of the corridor on the landing crying....i thought it was someone visiting my relatives,i went back to my room, got my dressing gown and when i went back to the landing he was gone.
I woke my auntie up and told her what i saw,but she just shrugged it off and said "oh yes,he used to live here before he died a few years earlier"..."he normally turns up whjen we have guests"...........I was scared at this thought and went home a few days later and never went back!

........and i love most haunted!

Re: Close Encounters of the ghostly kind?

Slinky started a thread named spooks Jason so we can natter about Most Haunted, we are big fans too .

Another thing I thought of, 2 of my daughters said they saw a dark shadow that was the size and shape of a boy at about 10 years of age, passed their wide open bedroom door. The 12 year old might have a vivid imagination but my 6 year old wasn't at all bothered she just told me very matter of factly. I thing I was more scared than the kids I wanted to pack my bags and go!
