My goal has always been to make the Borough better and I could sit down and rhyme off the key issues and how we need to change.

I don't trip you up. You make the decisions and you have lost £000,000's of Council Tax payers money.

Labour Councillors are the only councillors with any courage, honesty and integrity in Hyndburn. You know that because you come to Council meetings.

Even an AccyWeb member (who said they had not voted Labour) said they were quite surprised by what they saw. 'Labour allowed the childish gibes to pass by and stuck to issues that mattered'. If Shakermaker turned up he would change his opinion too.

In other Borough's I am sure the Conservatives have the best ideas and work harder, their Labour counterparts poor or useless.

You dont have to worry on that one after reading this thread its put me of for life i would never stand dont want to be a direct part of that dog eat dog world. im afraid its not for me:)

If you'd care to read back, I've said both men are good ward councillors.

It's just when it comes to them forming a cabinet and electing a leader, they then start wasting public money on hairbrained schemes, and voting to award themselves pay increase, above independently recommend limints, that they fall down badly.

in terms of pay increases does anyone know what the allowance is per day including hotel and the allowance for meals on daily basis.

You can phone your Councillors if you like and have a private chat if you have a problem.

The simple answer is we don't.

But the more evidence that is presented about their daft expensive pipe dreams, and their churlish refusal to work with other councillors, and by the dismissive ways we've heard they reflect questions from Joe Bloggs at public meetings, makes me believe it's worth a punt...because they couldn't do much worse.

Yes I know, and of course if I ever had a problem I would, and as I've said before I know they'd do their best to help me.

It also works both ways.

If they ever have a problem with anything, I hope they know they can phone me.
