To change the subject completely, the road surface along Hartley Street is appalling. Who is your county councillor?

I believe that's in Cllr. Britcliffe's ward.

They keep it so bad, for the old folks who can't fit on the subsidised seaside special bus.

A big dipper experience for all who staycation.

Really? Does he own any property on that street? I only ask because maybe he's trying to avoid the same 'mistake' that Graham made when Hodder Street was resurfaced in an apparently self-serving way.

For those that have the time, just a reminder that the Cabinet meeting is up at Scaitcliffe House in Accrington (just past the new Tesco being built) at 11.00pm this morning and is open to members of the public.

It would give me more pleasure than you can imagine to see the room packed with spectators, all taking a genuine interest in local politics and seeing what the councillors are really trying to do in the borough.

Not to worry, Margaret. The answers to questions on notice will probably run along these tried and tested lines:

1) Blame was the previous administration

2) 13 years of Labour rule have ruined the borough

3) It's all Graham Jones' fault

Works every time.

I'm sure someone will post updates later in the day and if anyone has anything to say publicly then rumour has it that posting on Accyweb between 12pm-2pm is a good way of getting your comments noticed, especially if you are a new Rishton councillor.

Well...

I was going to take time pointing it out but, you wouldn't comprehend and you certainly aren't worth telling.

You certainly are not worth listening too either, so I won't waste any more of my valuable and busy time on you.
