This video I found hilarious - whichever way you feel about the wedding have a chuckle

Made me laugh Margaret.

:D

Then again I also laughed at the people interviewed on the news. The ones sat in sleeping bags on the Mall, wearing silly hats.

It's like a holiday for simpletons.

I feel an FOI request to know how much has been spend but also how much paid employee time has been spent on this. And is the mayors bit on the side going to appear at official functions

Whilst there are parts of the coverage that I find nauseating, (like the obsequious guff about the wedding dress and what a lovely happy couple they make etc etc) there are aspects of the occasion that I can see benefit the country.

Like the pageantry and the attention from abroad as the eyes of the world focus on the UK. That must only be positive.

Kate stopped in a hotel last night that costs £5000 a night, do you think that they get charged for it or does the charge get waived (sp?) due to them being royals?

Just wondered! :D

Is this the hotel that will now make millions out of dumb idiots with more money than sense who will pay through the nose to stay in the hotel the princess stayed in the night before the wedding?

I think they might just waive the charge and see it as a loss leader! After all. you have to speculate to accumulate!

I'm sure the wedding will be good for the Capital and the surrounding areas......bringing in much needed revenue via tourists, (who will pay through the nose for everything) and I guess the filming of the event will stimulate interest in our little island....that has got to be good.
No-one does pageantry like the UK.
