I feel perturbed by it.
The death of this man doesn't mean an end to terror........I am sure there are more architects of terror left behind to avenge this mans death......and I'm sure they will make a concerted effort against the West.
They will still take our handouts though.

It is essential that you question who is orchestrating terror.
Are you being manipulated to feel terror?

I don't think too many people who lost loved ones in the 9/11 and 7/7 bombings feel manipulated into feeling terror Margaret

I don't think they should assume that the named perpetrators are the ones that did it
....just because they are told

They were manipulated, they were manipulated by the terror campaign.......and every single day since then, anyone who flies abroad is reminded by the restrictions imposed on them, that the terror is still out there.
We have all had our lives changed by those acts......we have no choice over the matter, so how can you say,in all honesty, John that we are not manipulated.

I actually think it gave the game away slightly when the guy himself went on Arabic TV and claimed responsibility Margaret ;)

Some men admit to murders they did not commit....because they want the world to think they are powerful.

True but the guy who admitted it is now dead, if that gives a bit of solace or closure to all those that have lost friends n family, then its fine by me.;)

I don't call that being manipulated Margaret ( bloody hell I've just realised I'm being twoed by two Margaret's:)) It's making people more aware of their own security, which is a very good thing

I hope this thread provokes you into thinking 'Who gains by keeping us afraid?'
......hint 'follow the money'
......our society (I can't call it civilisation, because it isn't civilised) is built on
.......GREED

I always find it very strange, that some people seem more concerned about a scumbag terrorist, than those who have lost family n friends through there acts,

Re: Bin Laden..... Killed in Pakistan

If you cannot do something that harms no-one else, and are regulated by restrictions, then surely that is being manipulated......is it not?
If I change my habits to conform to something caused by an external force......isn't that being manipulated? I believe it is.
I have not travelled abroad since many of these restrictions were placed on the travelling public......though in the past, I have travelled worldwide.
I have no problem with well organised security measures, but many security measures are not well thought out, or well organised.

When we are dealing with these people its an all new ball game, people like when bin laden can influence young men to strap explosives to their own body then walk into a crowded place and blow themselves up, along with innocent bystanders with the promise of paradise and exorbitant supply of Virgins, that's a frightening concept, These people are powerful in a way that we can't begin to perceive, so when one is taken out in this way its great to hear

Cashy, I do feel for those who lost their loved ones in these attacks, but it has to be said......killing this man, does not make one jot of difference to the risk of terrorist attacks on Western establishments.

We are giving foreign aid to Pakistan.....the country that harboured and supported Bin Laden...even though it protested that it didn't.
The money we send will give support to the upbringing of boys who will follow what they see as a religious cause....to kill the infidel.

I have no feelings about the death of Bin Laden....other than trepidation for the future.
