Er...I take it you're referring to myself, but just haven't grasped how the quote facility works?

Nowhere did I say that 'the last government forced everybody to have credit cards'.

What I actually said...

That's part of the problem.

Three consecutive Labour governments, spending like there was no tomorrow, and making it easy for everyone else to do the same.

Actions have consequences.

Unless, like you, you're happy sticking your head deeper into the sand.

Read it again.

Try putting a pointer under each word, as you come to it.

I'll say again.

I do think having what's basically unlimited credit, causes a great deal of people a whole load of misery.

Actions do have consequences. Whether it's building hospitals under P.F.I.s, or people maxing their credit cards out, with no chance of being able to pay them off.

i actually agree with most of your points.i remember when i first ventured out as a home owner to the shops niave as i was,i always thought to myself does nobody pay cash anymore and that was before 1997.ive always paid cash and lived within my means and had to do without but i never starved.the society today was created by the media .

Re: The Tories

Now, C'mon...you have found a few full stops.......and look that rare bird the comma.
Now try and put som capital letters in there.
This is like training my daughters eight year old......if you have used a full stop, the next word has to begin with a capital letter.

Re: The Tories

No, this society was most definitely not created by the media.
The media may have influenced what it did, it may influence what it is doing, and it may further influence what it is going to do....but it did not create it.

Roll on Scottish independence.

Can't come to soon.

Electrify Hadrian's Wall.

Soon all this will be foreign to you.

You'll have to spend all this time, working yourself into a dreadful tiz, worrying about how to put your own bothy in order.

Re: The Tories

Todays figures on the economy show a further slump.. Cameron and head boy Osbourne blame everything on the euro down to the price of beans!..government borrowing and debt has risen by billions.
when this government took office we were told that cuts and sacking half a million people would push the economy forward and unemployment would fall....now they are either downright liars or this government are inept.

cashman 25-01-2012 21:58

Re: The Tories

Also blaming the mess the last government made (Which they Did) but not a mention of these policies to remedy it, that aint working.

I'd go with the Liars personally, seems to be stock in trade for Politicos. I wouldn't harp on to much about ineptitude though as I'm sure you're aware of the response that'll be raised on that score. ;)
