If you're at sea, the mast makes a good stand in.

Though if you're a sailor, looking for a good time, seeing what's hanging about underneath a lampost will be a better bet.

;)

Not many ships left, so substitute lamp posts for the mainbrace.

Soliciting, or kerb crawling?

Should have stuck to being a peeping Tom, when he was on the windows.

In his youth Davy boy wasn't the upright pillar of society he'd like you to think he was.

Damn you lot. I can't get that tune "When I'm Cleaning Windows" out of my head now. And yes, I'm old enough to remember George.

I guess so, and grumpy with it. What is sad is that I remember better days. I know there was less technology and luxuries but society in general was less selfish and more respectful. Sigh......!

How right you are! Perhaps we all need a bit less technology and to get back in touch with nature -it is a great healer after all...:hippy:

Ok we seem to have a massive majority in favour of shooting looters.. one thing that strikes me is that the majority of these looters are the young but then again I suppose that is so so as far as this type of criminal behavoir goes.. and so what happens now?
There are over 1 million 16-20 yrs old unemployed and 99% of those took no part in any riots.. if you take into account those in higher education it's getting on to well over a million.
There is no excuse for these riots/looting and burning but were do we go from here?
It's all well to bang up the small proportion of those who did cause this chaos but what about those teenagers who had nothing to do with this and even clean the street for nothing?.. will this government try to create jobs for them?.. It don't not seem to be on the agenda and so nothing has changed in this mess.. this government have no intention of or even an agenda to make any effort in creating jobs in this country.. none at all.

Think the social experiment of Govt. being responsible for creating jobs was shown to have failed miserably with the collapse of the Berlin wall ., unless of course you are suggesting something akin to Pol Pots 'jobs/re-education for all system' , but I think the Human Rights folks maybe a tad upset with that one ;) :D :D
