I have heard it said in American films...the one which springs to mind is 'Grumpy Old Men' with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.

Did you all see the pictures of the guy stealing from JD Sports?

He had no mask on, was caught with a full face shot on HD news camera, and stole just one box of trainers.

What a tool.

There is one spooner who has put a picture of himself on facebook, with all the stuff he has robbed...wonder how long it will take the police to home in on him.

Well the poll seems to overwhelmingly convey what the majority of us think should happen.

Sorry, bleeding hearts.

Since most of these feral scum seem to be wearing hoodies, perhaps Cameron's view, that all a hoodie needs is a hug, to make them feel a valued member of society, has been believed by a small minority of Accy Webbers.

The rest of us would happily see them scatter, as the tanks rolled in, and the bullets flew.

So we arrest these thugs, then what, thanks to Himan rights laws, European laws, lack of prisons being built, we have to give them community service or a small fine. It's a joke.
Maybe we should hire Sheriff Joe, the man who makes inmates were pink clothes as they work on the chain gang.

Since there are so few prison places, most will probably just be fined...and pay it back a pound per week out of their drugs money.

Tough on crime. Tough on the causes of crime.

Utter testicles!

There is plenty of space, just knock down the gutted buildings, throw a chain link fence around it and put them there.

they should definatley start shooting looters with rubber bullets as collecting them afterwards and installing small motors then selling them to china as pleasure aids would help boost the economy ;)

Or perhaps ship 'em, and drop 'em off at South Georgia, with a few sheets of canvas to build shelters, to protect themselves from the south Atlantic winter.

A touch overgenerous me thinks, perhaps they could have the canvas if, & only if, their parents are prepared to pay for them out of their Social security?

(Yes, I know not everyone on benefits is as manky as this lot, I'm having to draw the dole myself at the moment).

I recall back in Northern Ireland, back in the '80's people used to collect rubber bullets (actually, they're hard plastic) and stick 'em on the mantle piece (just under the plaster ducks). The more you had, the higher your esteem.

Rubber bullets ain't the answer; 7.62 calibre with total yaw and full metal jacket is.

5.56 is mickey mouse stuff, so lets forget about that. Shoot to kill, not to wound.

What do we do? Well I personally think that the police be given all their powers back to be able to do their job properly. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. I would hate to be in their shoes at the moment.
The best way IMO would be to impose a curfew for everyone until this has been brought under control in order to sieve out the culprits. Many parents will then be in a position to see if their kids are involved, the police will be better placed to restore normality and the government should throw the hardest punishment possible at all involved.
There is talks of bringing the army in, yes this would frighten the damn life out of these thugs and maybe that's what's needed, but what should be happening is what someone has already mentioned, and that is increase our police force nor reduce it.

My heart goes out to all those who have been affected by this and I hope we dont see a forth night of it.

It all started to go downhill when some sabre-toothed do-gooder began her childline program with more RIGHTS for children some years ago. Hence snotty nosed, untouchable kids having the upper hand as is currently reflected in what is going on today.
