Corporal punishment in state schools was outlawed by Parliament with effect from 1987.

Esther Ranson was the one I had in mind, but I guess it's easy to point the finger at any past decisions which have proved to be counteractive in so many ways, irrespective of whosoever made them. Bending over backwards to accomodate teenage mothers who went on to breed with any Tom, Dick or Harry that took her fancy is another oft-quoted niggle. The whole of society will need to take several steps backwards if we are to counteract the many ills that assail us when we are clearly in too weak a position economically to properly deal with them. There are already grumbles from overseas re the wisdom of sending teams to the 2012 Olympics.

Maybe it is time to learn lessons from other countries, I believe in some Arfrican nations they used to use large batons and shields, if a few rooters heads got broke, well that's that.
Maybe a forceful approach is the only way forward.
Interesting to see how tough these thugs are, covering their heads with hoodies...

As we are short on prison space perhaps they should stop the dole money and child benefit of those involved and make them all do their community service repairing the damage that they caused in the first place.

It would make parents sit up and take notice and certainly teach the scumbags that you dont get something for nothing in this life and everything must be paid for one way or another.

If the government aren't going to send the troops in, the only other solution is to broadcast Jeremy Kyle programmes on a loop, 24/7.

Since tiny teen gangstas rarely leave the house until they've watched this programme, this is the only other way to end this intolerable situation.
