I managed to get some free from the hand out at Tesco, does the team think I should send the £10 back minus 45p a mile for going in my car?

How much more do they owe you then Gremlin:D

I hadn't factored in my time jaysay at £15 an hour so a minimum of one hour plus three miles each way at 45p a mile means they owe me £5.70.

Just found out.

Those offered compensation by letter, unaffected by the recent burst.

This is forward planning.

Your water will be off December 24th - January 2nd.

Thirteen years since I retired at 60, you will get used to it jaysay.
I suppose I am lucky because my health is OK and my pensions keep getting paid and we don't owe owt. Mortgage paid up over 40 years ago.

You have lots to look forward to jaysay, by the way, thanks for the offer of the water the other week.

I have a drink with an old work mate of yours in the Read Con a few times a week. Big Alan Luke, driver at Shopfitters, now aged 82. He doesn't mind being a pensioner either.

Last comment, it's a good job prescriptions are free for us.
