Re: BEWARE the town hall drivers....

I sometimes think cyclists think themselves exempt from all traffic laws as well.

How many of them do you see going through red lights?

I don't know about you, but I thought a red light means stop, whatever mode of transport you choose to adopt.

It could also be bloody dangerous - if I hit a bike that had gone through a red light, I'd probably get the book thrown at me.

the point is we are talking mainly about the 5mp zone and yes we all know to look left and right but thats no good when i car appears from no where when you are half way across the road

you sure as hell see it but can do nothing about it especialy if your pushing a pram or struggle to walk like a pensioner or somthing

that comment about people should look left and right was about as meaningful as the drink driver who says i only had 4 pints i can handle my booze just before killing someone with his car

sorry dude but the only place a car should have priority over pedestrians is the motorway or race track as they are desighned soley for cars

a driving licence is a privalage not a right and motorists should remember that they dont own sole owndership to the roads us pedestrians need to be on them occasionaly to get to the other side

edit:

as for voicing your opinion even if people disagree with it you have the right to voice it no matter how long you have been here

There are designated crossing places on most roads for that purpose, think the pedestrians should stick to them.

Unhappy Re: BEWARE the town hall drivers....

There is no designated crossing point on this stretch because as was said at the start of this thread, this stretch of road is for buses and emergency vehicles only. Not cars, taxi`s delivery vans, ect,ect so THOTH you should`nt be there in the first place and I`m doing you a favour looking out for you...and you will be posted.
