The interviewing committee may have sent him packing, but at least he's not bitter, and will now have more time to devote himself to Culture Club's forthcoming tour.

As an aside to this I read one of the Rev Kev's vile missives in the Telegraph about a week ago where he was banging on about the "unholiness" of same sex marriages, if I ever needed any proof as to what a narrow minded bigot this man is , it was there , writ large. I know lots of same sex couples, if they had entered into heterosexual marriages these would inevitably have broken down leaving a trail of domestic debris. Homosexuality is not a disease to be cured by marriage, Kev, it's a lifestyle choice, and the sooner you open your eyes to the real world the better it will be for all of us.
( By the way, he has a snowball in hells chance of getting in.)
With regards to the Rev Kev lindsay I'm in total agreement, as you say Homosexuality cannon be cured, as I've have said many times on ere before gay people do not chose to be gay that's the wa they are born unfortunately people like Rev Kev are too bigoted to see it, oh and snowball and hell go well together in his case

By choosing the word cured you are implying that there is something wrong with homosexuals.

I did ask, after the candidate list was haughtily imposed on the local Conservative party, if they'd considered putting forward a break-away Independent Conservative candidate, so they could decide for themselves, who'd they prefer to represent them in the General Election.

The idea was pooh-poohed, as a last attempt was made to feign a show of Conservative party unity.

However, a friendly little tit tapped on my ever open window at Rindy Towers, and whispered the rumour that just such a plan was going to be put in place, which would have allowed the local Conservative party's preferred candidate to stand.

Unhappily it appears they missed the deadline for registering, and plans for a 'third time lucky' campaign have been thwarted.

This story has more twists and turns than a well-thumbed Jeffrey Archer, and they've not even had the interviews yet, to decide on whose name will appear on our ballot papers come May.

Roll on Saturday.

'With Cameron-loving Karen Buckley barely two days into her role as PPC, Scrapbook can exclusively reveal that the contest has been effectively abandoned by CCHQ after Britcliffe’s supporters threatened to quit the party and fight the election under the banner of “Hyndburn Independent Conservatives”.'

Quoted out of context Neil, my thoughts on Homosexuality are well known, It can't be cured because there is nothing to Cure, it is not a disease. Gay people do not choose to be Gay they are born Gay, as a friend once said to me when asked why he was Gay, he said I am the victim of circumstance, I have the mind of a woman in a man's body, that says it all

There's nothing to stop you, only a limited time frame.

£500 for the deposit which you could get back if you get 5% of the vote in that constituency...

You may use the word ‘Independent’ (and/or ‘Annibynnol’ in a constituency in Wales) or you may choose not to use a description at all and leave that part of the nomination paper and the ballot paper blank.

I have no need to make my mind up, I'm quite clear what my thoughts have always been on Homosexuality yerself, as I have said on here on a regular basis. Homosexuality is inborn not a choice, people do not wake up one morning a suddenly say oh I'm Gay

Saving your deposit is the hardest part, 5% takes some attaining for a totally independent candidate, unless you have £500 to throw away
