Ours could only do that with coke.

Wasn't all happy toil, in the olden days.

Many would spend a good part of the day bent over double.

Or on their knees.

I knew they had to be off their faces on something. Just the thought of it brings tears to the eye.

A hazard of the job.

A lot of them went down with it.

Don't jump to conclusions.

Many were just good pals.

Or lost someone in the war.

Like Ted Heath.

Oh no. Not Ted. Don't tell me, no I can't bear it. Mind you, it would explain a lot.

Steady on.

He prefered a suede slip-on, rather than being clod in something stout.

He lost 'someone special' in the war.

Hence being returned to Heaven's sorting office untampered with.

Allegedly.

His only comfort being that he was able to sit in bed, and enjoy viewing the biggest spire in Englandshire.

Ya seems back in the good old days Ted and Herold were in the gents at the house of commons and herald says to Ted "out there were opposite Ted, but in here we're all equal we all hold our own" Ted say, " you sod off Harold every time you see something big you want to nationalise it"
